Expanding Access to Care in Canby

CKA partnered with Neighborhood Health Center (NHC), a Federally-qualified health center, to establish functional space standards and evaluate new clinic sites. The first project was the transformation of a 7,000 SF office building in Canby, Oregon, into a comprehensive medical and dental clinic.

The new facility integrates eight medical exam rooms, a five-chair dental clinic, an FQHC pharmacy, and support spaces, offering a comprehensive healthcare experience. CKA collaborated closely with NHC to develop standardized designs for exam rooms and Care Team pods, ensuring consistency across future clinics. Visits to existing NHC facilities informed the design process, reinforcing NHC’s brand identity and operational goals.

Opened in Fall 2024, the Canby clinic enhances access to patient-centered care in a welcoming and efficient environment, addressing the needs of a rural community.
