Cascade Cardiology had vastly outgrown their existing clinic in a medical office building on the Salem Hospital campus. In fact, they moved into a second, disconnected suite to help accommodate their needs. Multiple doctors shared offices, staff worked in cramped conditions, and patients were treated in a crowded, maze-like environment in the two different suites that were on opposite ends of the building.
To address these issues, Clark/Kjos worked with the client to find a suitable space near the campus that had good parking for patients, more visibility, ample natural light, and space to accommodate the practice and allow for growth. The completed clinic has ten exam rooms, three stress test and echo rooms, a nuclear medicine room, and offices for seven cardiologists. The clinic design also allows for work efficiency, with the Medical Assistants all sharing a central work center within sight and easy walking distance to the exam and treatment rooms.
