A Modern Healthcare award winner that is an exceptional healing environment, uplifting staff environment, and saves 30% in energy compared with the average hospital.
First hospital in Washington registered for LEED-NC certification: Gold level awarded.

Sustainable features include a natural approach to storm water management, daylighting, low-velocity HVAC, environmentally-responsive use of materials, and educated Contractor and Maintenance staff.

Swedish Medical Center Emergency Department, Seattle, WA

An environment focused on calming families and empowering staff in this busy center.  We used occupant healthy finishes, and recycled and renewable materials throughout.

Department of Veterans Affairs, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR

Green Globes system was used in an exhaustive evaluation of existing hospitals to define successes and opportunities for facility improvements and operating cost savings.

Curry Medical Center, Brookings, OR

This rural clinic and urgent care center provides an unusually cheerful environment by maximizing daylighting strategies while conserving energy through intelligent envelope design.  LEED-NC Silver awarded.
