For this Spring Team-building event, CKA staff bundled up, put some gloves on, and learned how to play the very fun sport of curling.
Fun facts about curling: Each curling stone is made from rare granite that is polished and shaped. Also like many sports, curling has its own terminology and rules. The ice you stand on is called “the sheet” and the target you are sliding the stone towards is called the “house. We also learned that curling is nicknamed “the roaring game” because of the rumbling sound a curling stone makes as it glides across the sheet.
We also learned that if you enjoy doing lunges, this is your sport!
