November 2018: Project Designer and Graphics Specialist (5+ years experience)

Specifically, we are looking for a Designer and Graphics Specialist with experience, creativity and a passion for architecture. This person’s design approach should be rooted in knowledge of construction and detailing, and attentive to the practical concerns of our clients such as budgets, maintenance and durability. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of skills including: ability to prepare digital renderings, 3D digital modeling skills, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency, Revit familiarity, ability to communicate with design team, and researching manufacturer’s materials, systems and specifications. The role involves collaborating with design principals and project architects, exploring design ideas graphically and generating options, developing materials that effectively convey design ideas, and creating presentation-quality documents for client review. The role also includes producing drawings for all design phases, conceptual design through construction documents.
- Proficiency using digital modeling, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and post-production and graphic design tools
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an NCARB-accredited school of architecture
- Strong graphics and verbal skills for effective communication with other team members
- Good attention to detail and time management
- Ability to efficiently prepare digital renderings and other presentation materials such as floor plans, site plans, exterior elevations and sketches
